Caleb Ryan Tullius / Show Designer


Caleb Tullius is a proud El Paso, TX native musician. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, he earned a Bachelor's in Music Education and a Master’s in Music Performance in Conducting. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education from UTEP. While in his collegiate studies, he performed in the UTEP Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Bands, Mariachi Los Mineros, and the Marching Miners. He studied brass pedagogy abroad at the Domaine Forget Academy in Saint-Irenee, Quebec, Canada. He marched with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Caleb is an avid supporter of the marching and musical arts. He has been a high school visual caption head for five years and has been a marching technician for seven. He is currently a band director at Eastlake High School, where he lead the marching band to the UIL State Marching Band contest for the third time. He has also lead several Eastlake chamber ensembles that performed at the International Trumpet Guild Conference, the International Tuba Euphonium Association Conference, and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Caleb is also on the music staff at the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps as a brass technician.

Caleb created and is on the board of Sun City Musical Arts, a nonprofit organization that supports the local marching circuit. He is happy to be a part of the growth of marching and musical arts in the Sun City.

Pablo Estrada / Visual Caption Head


Pablo Estrada is an El Paso, Texas native musician. He is currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's of Music Education at the University of Texas at El Paso where he's been a part of multiple ensembles. These include Concert Band Ensemble, Symphonic and Symphonic Wind ensemble, and the Brass Commencement ensemble. Additionally, he has been in the UTEP Marching Miners and Pep Band where he has had leadership positions in the baritone and sousaphone sections and has recently been placed as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Position for the Marching Miners.

Outside of his studies at the university, Pablo has been a part of a few programs across El Paso working with Riverside High School from 2018- 2019, Del Valle High School in 2021, as well as the Irvin High School Band 2021 season. In all of these programs he’s been part of the visual and marching staff, as well as the music staff.

Celeste Collette / Marching & Visual Specialist


Celeste Collette was born, raised, and resides in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor's in Music Education. During her time at UTEP, Celeste served as the Alpha Chi Chapter President of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band service fraternity. Additionally, she worked at the UTEP Department of Music as an Audio/Video Technician. Celeste performed in numerous university ensembles, such as the wind symphony, symphony orchestra, horn choir, ceremonial brass ensemble, early music ensemble, symphony band, and the marching band. Outside of UTEP, Celeste played in a local community orchestra called The Gilbert and Sullivan Company Orchestra. While at UTEP, Celeste was an honor’s recipient of UTEP, Presidential Excellence Scholar, TMEA Student Teacher Scholar, and a Hornswoggle Scholar.

Celeste’s marching arts experience includes performing with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017 and 2018 on mellophone. She is also an alumnus of both Sun City Independent and Ethereal Winds Independent.

Celeste currently works at Eastlake High School as an assistant band director and piano teacher. During her free time, she enjoys traveling the Southwest, visiting national parks, and attending music concerts.

Jacqueline Alyssa Mendoza / Marching Specialist


Jacqueline Mendoza is an El Paso, TX native educator. A graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso, she earned her Bachelor's in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science, minor in Biological studies and has earned a graduate certificate in education to teach. Beginning her teaching career in 2022, Ms. Mendoza currently works for Parkland High School as a Health Education teacher. 

While in her collegiate studies, Jacqueline was an active member of the UTEP Bands department performing with the Marching Miners, Basketball Pep Band, Symphonic Band and Concert Band. There she took part in various leadership roles such as conductor for the Basketball Pep Band and section leader turned drum major for the Marching Miners. Additional duties included her officer position as the Vice President of Service with Kappa Kappa Psi, social media co-manager for the Marching Miners and student assistant for Dr. Andrew Hunter, Associate Director of UTEP Bands. 

Jacqueline is a supporter of the arts and continues to assist with Eastwood High School’s Trooper Band as a Woodwind, Visual and Conducting technician. 

Jacqueline has given much of her free time to photography wether it is freelance work or shooting for UTEP Bands, Sun City Indoor and Ethereal Winds.

Shekinah Velasquez / Choreographer


Shekinah Velasquez is an El Paso, Texas native and graduated from Eastlake High School. She is in her 8th year performing in Color Guard. She currently helps teach at Eastlake for band and guard. She recently finished marching her first year of world class DCI with Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps. She also competed with Ethereal Winds as the dance soloist. Shekinah has also been on staff for Sun City Independent and Ethereal Winds serving as the lead choreographer.

Shekinah is currently completing her associates degree in Business Management at EPCC. Her plans are to then obtain a Bachelors in Business Administration at UTEP.

Shekinah is a big advocate of the fine arts, as dance is one of her passions. She hopes to share the knowledge that she has learned from all her performing experiences and guide students to express themselves through art.
